| The quintessentially civilized port city of Victoria is situated in the balmy Southwest corner of British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island. This former British Colony is about 12,500 square miles in size and is famous for its natural beauty, hospitality and for the late 19th century ambience of its largest city, Victoria, British Columbia. possible Those re-entering the US by
air require a valid passport, or proof that they have
an application being processed. U.S. and Canadian citizens travelling
by land or ferry may enter the US with a valid drivers license
and an original or certified copy of a birth certificate. If you are
not a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, you are required to carry a valid
passport and/or the appropriate visa. If you are uncertain of your
status, please inquire before making reservations. For children, you
are required to present a birth certificate. If children are not traveling
in the company of their parents, they are also required to have a
signed letter of permission from a parent authorizing their visit

Passes through the scenic San Juan Islands and arrives at Sidney, about 18 miles north of Victoria. Two sailings daily at best. Because of stops along the way, this is a longish trip of 2 1/2 hours but you are passing through prime whale watching territory. Essential to reserve and arrive early in high season. If there is any chance you might be delayed, take the ferry from Tsawwassen above. Olympic Peninsula - Port Angeles - Victoria, Washington. Arrives in Victoria harbor downtown just two blocks from Andersen House B&B. Up to 4 sailings daily in high season. Very busy. Sometimes it's necessary to arrive hours before sailing times (so call ahead when you are travelling). They now take reservations (recommended).
